Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to pick up my turf or will it be delivered?
If you have a vehicle of the right size (a 6x4 trailer or a tray-back ute), you can pick your turf up from our warehouse, but load limits apply. We also offer a delivery service, so we can send your turf directly to your site if it is safe to access and clear of any debris.
How much does the turf cost?
The cost of our services depends on which type of turf you opt for and how large the area is that it needs to cover. To request a quote, you can fill out our online form with your details.
How do I lay my turf?
Our experts will both supply and lay your turf on your property. If you wish to lay your turf yourself, however, take a look at our handy guide.
How much turf do I need?
To figure out how much turf to order, you need to calculate how many square metres of your property needs to be covered. To do this, simply measure the width and length of the area and multiply them. If the area that needs to be covered is not a rectangular shape, you can divide the area into sections and add together the square footage of each.
When will my turf be delivered?
In order to make sure that your turf meets our high standards, we request you make an order 2 days in advance, but if you place your order before midday, we can attempt to deliver your turf the next day.
Can you access my location?
We can deliver turf throughout the Toowoomba area, as long as the gateway is no less than 2400m.
How often do I need to cut my grass?
Spring through to summer, grass should be cut once a week, minimum. As the colder months approach grass needs to be cut as required.
How do I work out how much turf is needed?
To do this you will need to measure the length and width of the area then multiply them to give you how many square metres are needed. If you have an unusual shaped area divide it into sections, work out each area separately then add them together. Examples are given below:
Area of a square / rectangle
Multiply side by side.
Example: 5m x 5m = 25m2 7m x 3m = 21m2
Area of a triangle
Multiply length by width and divide by 2.
Example: 10m x 5m = 50m 50m ÷ 2 = 25m2
Area of a circle
Multiply diameter x 0.80 then multiply by diameter again.
Example: 8m x 0.80 = 6.4m 6.4 x 8m = 51.2m2
Area of an oval
Multiply length by 0.80 then multiply by width.
Example: 15m x 0.80 = 12m 12m x 8m = 96m2
